Spurlock Died in New York Surrounded by Family and Friends
Morgan Spurlock, the Oscar-nominated documentary maker best known for his 2004 fast food film Super Size Me, has died at the age of 53.
Spurlock, who directed the film in which he ate nothing but McDonald's food for 30 days, died in New York on Friday, according to a statement from his brother.
"It is with great sadness that I must share that my brother, Morgan Spurlock, passed away yesterday," Spurlock's brother, Jason, said in a statement. "He was surrounded by family and friends."
